In 2008 the Glacsweb team worked at Skalafellsjokull in Iceland. This is a large outlet of the Vatnajokull icecap. We measured depths of 100m in the area we worked in by using ground penetrating radar. A new set of hardware/software was made emphasising a new low power base station and new sensors. GPRS is now used as a direct route for data back to the UK.
